Population

Participants with increased blood glucose and/or insulin resistance level

Intervention

Fixed dose combination of Berberis aristata and Silybum marianum (either as single therapy or in combination with other therapies)

Comparator

Either placebo, standard therapy alone, or any other supplementation other than the fixed dose combination of Berberis aristata and Silybum marianum

Outcomes

1. Blood glucose level

2. Glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) level

3. Insulin resistance level (HOMA-IR score)
