In all the Actual versus predicted plots both actual and predicted values are quite close to each other. Here, the low RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) values in Y, ZP and PS plots indicated the model is significant and fits the data well. The RSq (R2) values in Y, ZP and PS plots predict the percentage of the relationship between independent variables [CH (chitosan–EDTA ratio) and DT (Drying temp.)] and dependent variables (Y, ZP and PS). These plots depicted 99%, 91% and 96% relationship between the independent variables and Y, ZP and PS, respectively. P value less than 0.05 showed the model is statistically significant for Y and ZP and P value 0.06 is very close to statistically significant model for PS
